For Hausmann & Co.’s 230th anniversary, independent brand URWERK lands in Rome’s Via Loft in Via di San Giacomo with the one-of-a-kind creation of the UR-102 “Reloaded Black” watch.
This historic model from URWERK, the first watch ever made by the Brand, has a distinctive digital time display inspired by the “nocturnal clocks” of the Campani brothers, Roman artisans of the 17th century who created watches for pontiffs and nobles. The dial has a luminous shade of blue and black PVD-treated steel case. The titanium case back is engraved with “Pièce Unique” and the Hausmann & Co. logo flanked by the Roman numeral “CCXXX.”

UR-SATELLITE:
L’UR-100V LightSpeed The UR-100V LightSpeed houses a 3D planetarium with eight celestial bodies in our solar system, eight landmarks. Starting with the Sun, we calculated and illustrated the time it takes for a beam of light to reach each of the planets. The Sun’s ray takes 8.3 minutes to reach Earth, while the same ray reaches the surface of Jupiter 35 minutes later. A journey through space and time with light as the medium, the most magical of all vectors.

L’UR-100V takes us on a journey through time and space, merging two fundamental concepts for URWERK. The UR-100V SpaceTime features URWERK’s iconic satellite display, with one significant difference. After the minute pointers on the hour satellites disappear, they switch between sub dials to display astronomical indications.

L’UR-120 is a new stage in the constant mutation of the URWERK species. The UR-120 carries forward the codes of the UR-110 collection and redesigns the concept. The idea was to go in a thinner, smoother and more elegant direction. Therefore, we redesigned the entire satellite system. Each satellite is now composed of two sub-elements to make it thinner, easier to read, and to give it an unprecedented fluidity.

THE RECHARGED UR-102is URWERK’s most anticipated collection. It is not, however, the most complex, nor the most unique. But it is the one that seals the beginning of the adventure, the starting point. A round URWERK watch… – but hands-free, with the only focal point consisting of an hour unit gliding along a semicircular track. The 102 collection, launched at Baselworld in 1997, has not aged at all. After some adjustments to match the times, the UR-102 “reloaded” is now presented in a boxed set containing its two versions: one in titanium, the other in URWERK’s signature black.

In addition to this time display, the UR-230 “Eagle” features new functions. URWERK has developed a world-first set of shock absorbers to protect the new UR-7.30 caliber via turbines. A first group of turbines is dedicated to cushioning the impact of any external shock, thus ensuring the watch’s robustness and durability. A second group controls the flow of air that feeds the winding system.

UR-CHRONOMETRY:
THE AMC. THE AMC. In the spirit of Breguet’s inspiration from over 220 years ago, URWERK began designing and producing the first master slave and wristwatch, in which an atomic watch, through a complex mechanical linkage, duplicates all the functions of Breguet’s most advanced sympathetic watches in a single device: winding, adjusting and regulating a URWERK watch, which rests in a cradle in the case of the atomic watch itself.

Based on the GPHG’s twice-awarded first generation EMC, the new EMC allows the wearer to monitor both his or her accuracy when on the wrist and the width of the watch. Interactivity remains at the heart of the EMC concept. Accuracy can be easily adjusted to suit the owner’s lifestyle, rather than the controlled environment of the watchmaker’s workshop.
